We are family. We are a third generation building and development company started in Marietta, Georgia in the 60’s. For more than 50 years, we have placed quality and personal relationships at the heart of our company. Now a third generation construction company, we are happy to call Santa Rosa Beach our home. In order to build special properties, we must live in a special place ourselves and living and working near the beautiful beaches of Walton County, Florida accomplishes that mission.

Ken Minchew graduated from Louisiana State University 1974 and shortly therefter established Minchew. The company soon became known as a leader in innovative design and flawless execution of real estate construction and development. Ken served as the President for the Multi-Family Housing for the Metro Atlanta Homebuilders Association. Ken has enjoyed success in a variety of different product types including single family detached homes, single family attached homes, high density town homes, office condominium communities and warehousing. Fellow builders recognized Mr. Minchew by awarding him the Feature Performance Award from Professional Builder Magazine. He was also awarded the Homebuilders’ Professionalism Award and recognized for his superior rehabilitation of two historic Marietta buildings.

SHELLEY MINCHEW, Designer

Shelley has always loved color, design, architecture, photography, art, cooking, and travel. Having raised a family of four and too many English bulldogs to count, she now realizes that the past 20 years have been spent gathering memories and inspiration for her design work and art. A graduate of Louisiana State University, she studied merchandising, interior design, and painting. In addition to her professional design work, Shelley is an artist and her abstract seascapes can be seen in galleries along 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

KEITHA WALTERS, Developer / General Contractor

Keitha is a graduate of the University of Georgia and received her Masters of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She started her construction career with Pulte Homes in Atlanta; moved on to land development with Minchew and enjoys building single family homes as a Contractor in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Keitha is meticulous and organized and has a keen eye for details - this makes for an extremely efficient building process. In her spare time she stays busy with her three young children - Olive, Henry Hill and Pearce.

TREY MINCHEW, General Contractor

Trey graduated from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked as an engineer for an oil service company based in Lafayette, LA. As an engineer, Trey personally managed multi-million dollar operations both offshore and in West Texas. Having grown up in the real estate and development business, Trey had summer on the job training. When the oil business waned, he decided to join the family business in Santa Rosa Beach. He gained his General Contractors License and joined the team at Minchew.
